About the author
Jing Zhang is lecturer for the School of Contemporary Chinese Studies at the University of Nottingham, UK. She previously held research and teaching assistantships at the University of Birmingham, where she was awarded her PhD and MSc in Economics. Dr. Zhang obtained a BA (Hons) in Business Management and Economics from Edinburgh Napier University and a Bachelor of Economics from Shandong University of Finance, China. Her work has been published in several journals such as the Journal of Development Studies and the Journal of the Asia Pacific Economy.
