Publishing for Impact

Academia is increasingly driven by the need for research to make a demonstrable impact on society.

Impact is now at the core of academic evaluation in higher education institutes around the world and has driven new publishing models such as Open Access. Impact is typically demonstrated and measured in terms of citations, implementation in industry, policy change and media coverage.
