Reviews
'This is the book I wish I had had when young the issues, the evidence and great actionable ways to move on, and great case studies. A book for my organisation and a book for my daughters. Indeed, the book for all us women to read to take control of our own lives.'
-Professor Dame Sally C. Davies, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Scientific Adviser, Department of Health, UK
"I really welcome this timely book. We need to acknowledge that mentoring is not enough. To achieve a genuine shift in organisational behaviours we need women to break through in larger numbers, and faster. This book lays out the evidence as to why championing is a vital part of the process. An essential read for all who share the aim of gender equality in the workplace."
-Dr Michelle Harrison, CEO WPP Government and Public Sector Practice
'Championing Women Leaders has a can-do message. An accessible, positive shot-in-the-arm to those striking out on their chosen path, those who may temporarily have lost their way, and to those companies, organisations and politicians everywhere keen to harness the full potential of its combined workforce. Champions are powerful forces for good. We need more of them.'
-Susanne Thorning-Lund, Head of NED Appointments, Odgers Berndtson
"A very readable and practical book that uses the stories of successful women to show what really works for individuals wishing to realize their potential to become leaders and organizations seeking to improve gender balance and provide a better working environment for women.'
-Audrey Mandela, Entrepreneur (co-founder Multimap, Founder, Mandela Associates); Chair, Women in Telecoms & Technology (WiTT); Chair, Informilo, Steering Committee, Global Board Ready Women
'A truly inspiring book for all male and female leaders. Championing as a route to supporting and promoting talent is a method we should all be incorporating into our leadership competencies. Certainly a book to inspire women to be both 'one to watch' and be an inspirational 'champion' a book which will certainly be passed around my team.'
-Rachel Kay, Managing Director, Thales Learning and Consultancy
