The European Journal of Development Research (EJDR) publishes research on international development from multidisciplinary perspectives. The journal encourages debate on what development is and examines the challenges faced by the Global South.
EJDR is hosted by the European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI) and its various initiatives.
The journal welcomes papers rooted in any field, including (but not limited to) anthropology, climate, development studies, economics, education, geography, international studies, management, politics, social policy, sociology, sustainability, and the environment.
The European Journal of Development Research encourages papers which embody the highest quality standards, and which use an innovative approach.
EJDR embraces:
The journal urges authors who contemplate submitting their work to respond to research already published in the EJDR, as well as complementary journals and books. EJDR takes special efforts to include global voices and notably voices from the global South. Queries about potential submissions can be directed to the managing editor.
EJDR supports the publication of articles related to one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and it has a specially dedicated open-ended online collection.
The European Journal of Development Research is a Transformative Journal; authors can publish using the traditional publishing route OR via immediate gold Open Access.
